Making and distributing the penny takes time to make and costs more than it’s worth so why should the United States keep it in circulation. Pennies have been circulated for more than 200 years now and they still don’t really matter. They are only worth 1 cent in the United States and cause taxpayers to pay more for things that are irrelevant. Pennies are everywhere and all people really do with them is give them to penny drives, throw them in a wishing well, or even just toss them on the ground. The American Penny should not be made/circulated anymore since it is too costly and it doesn’t have an important need.
