There was a battle called the battle of the Atlantic, which was a big battle fought in Germany using submarines and boats. Approximately 18000 were killed in battle and started from 1941 to 1945. The second biggest was also fought in Germany with a whopping 479 killed and 749 wounded. This was a land battle fought for only 2 days.
