In order to receive funding from the Army, a problem has to be found and courses of actions proposed to ensure the funding is used correctly. A prime example of this is the Army Career Tracker (ACT), which allows Soldiers to see how they are doing compared to others of their rank and position. ACT allows a Soldier to input their leaders and receive feedback on potential job progression, Professional Development Model (PDM), Individual Development Plan (IDP), and even has a section for sponsorship for Soldiers that are undergoing a Permanent Change of Station (PCS). ACT has become a hub that solves communication issues when Soldiers are dislocated from previous leaders and even helps a Soldier prepare for PCS.
