*Conferences are between athletes and coaches only. No parents should attempt to enter the conference. If more time is needed by the athlete, the athlete should contact the coaches for a second meeting time between the athlete and coaches.
Attire
: All athletes should dress in all black (following school dress code), hair pulled neatly back and off of the shoulders. For girls, buns are preferred. Dance shoes (jazz shoes, pirouettes, dance paws) or gym shoes can be worn (if you do not own dance shoes). Athletes should bring water as well. Headshots will be taken on day 1 when athletes receive tryout numbers. Headshots will be discarded after tryouts.
G eneral Information
: Arrowettes season runs from May through the end of February. In the fall season, the Arrowettes are a sideline team and perform at all home football games, assemblies, and community performances. In the winter season, the Arrowettes compete through the IHSA and perform at all home boys’ basketball games, some girls’ basketball games, and school assemblies. JV Arrowettes typically practice 69 hours a week plus games/events/competitions. Varsity Arrowettes typically practice 920 hours plus games/events/competitions. The Arrowettes host an IHSA competition in December each year as a fundraiser. Both levels were 2015 Conference Champions.
