In an essay, compare and contrast the sculptures below, considering the effect the intended purpose or function has on the appearance of the sculptures.

We as human beings can look at things and interpret them in different forms and manners, is the same way we interpret the forms of art and their underlying structures. For example, when I see the drawing of dusk, I always think of oranges, even the red is a representation of fire which presents dangerous situations, a condition that is fearful and larger. Another person may see that as a color representing a lesser thing. With this understanding, we teach ourselves and the memories carry around at the back of our minds. From a logical perspective, the historical context of people’s thoughts and behaviors are oversaw in the sculptures work of artists.

To begin, the statue of The King’s Acquaintances Memi and Sabu shows complete affinity, because of the way in which they are holding each other, which indicates a couplement of being husband and wife. This particular statue was found in the Serdab, a chamber where the statue is hidden. The Sabu is a distinguished statue that draws the attention of Memi.

This sculpture was painted with limestone as a symbol of non-royal marriage, but recognised in human minds as being an imperial partner. These partners were not seated, but were casually dressed while their counterpart Gudea was seated and fully dressed. When you look at the stance of Memi and his wife, it shows they were a couple that were because a confirmation love was also shown. This act of proximity conveyed why Memi was able to choose to stand on his feet together despite using the slightly macho stance on the left leg in which it stands
