She wanted to see what would happen if she did go into the forest. So, in the middle of the night, she snuck out of her bedroom and enter the forest. Jamie told Artemis to close her eyes and to think of whiteness, to clear her mind. She did as told. And as she opened her eyes she saw white furry paws in front of her instead of hands. Artemis was so shocked that she jumped backwards. She realized she was no longer human, but a white wolf instead. Jamie told Artemis that she must reclaim her crown and overthrow her evil grandfather. Artemis was skeptical, but she was not scared. She longed for revenge and to take back what was rightfully hers. Artemis began to relax just as a tree rustle and a twig snap under a foot. Artemis immediately took a defensive stance, as she finally made out the silhouette of the enemy, a black wolf. The midnight wolf began to transform before her eyes. The tall handsome stranger had midnight hair, the same color of his fur, that looked soft as silk, it flopped gently on his pale forehead. But his eyes, they were the magnets. A light shade of blue dotted with grass that reflected an image like a crystal-clear lake, the other was melting gold with specks of emerald green that burned like a flame. She was immediately enchanted by the stranger. He bowed down to her and introduced himself as William, a warrior wolf who was looking for the lost princess. As soon as Artemis heard “lost princess” she realized that he was talking about her. William recognized her by the distinct crown shape pattern on her forehead. He told her about how the kingdom was going to ruins because of her grandfather and his lack of sympathy for werewolves. William suggested that he could take her back to her grandfather because he knew the forests better than her. Artemis agreed. They flew through the trees and fields with William leading and in no time at all they arrive at Artemis’s old home.
