Being mature is a quality that's essential and sought after in life, and being mature can help you make important decisions. By Tim Elmore's words, many teens lack maturity because they're in the in-between state of childhood and adulthood. Scientists have observed that teenagers can't make the connection between good and bad decisions because of a cell block in their brains. In my opinion, it's often hard for everyone to make a decision or a huge life choice that will impact your future. As someone who strongly believes in character, I very much agree with Elmore's fourth value. Carrying good character is a valuable asset in life. In order to make mature decisions, it's often better to go with what you think is best overall, than what is best for you and your feelings. This also touches on Elmore's third rule that a mature person has a strong sense of humility. The sign that a mature person expresses their gratitude immensely is also a big pointer in my opinion. Personally, I enjoy feeling grateful for small things and for large things.
