Belle went through many test though out the story like Gaston locked Belle and her father in the cellar and tried killing the Beast. Gaston is the shadow of the story. She helped save the kingdom and the castle. She passed the test by saving the beast and the castle. “No, NO! Please. Please... Please don't leave me. I love you” (the movie).The beast transformed back to a prince. Though out the story every test/obstacle Belle goes though she becomes stronger. Usually there is a reward given to hero for passing the supreme ordeal. It was her true love, a prince, and a kingdom. The last and final stage is the master of two worlds. It’s when the quest is life-changing for them and many others. For Belle it’s when she first lived a normal village girl to a princess that lives in a castle, and Belle helped everything go back to normal for the castle and brake the curse. As Belle follows the hero’s journey, it proves the diversity of Campbell’s theory, and shows how the story follows the theory and the same path, but can still change with the times. In the story it shows that a girl can be a hero, and it’s not always a guy. In the story Belle saves the day. She sacrificed herself for her dad. She also saves the beast. Heroes are not always men, anyone can be a hero in their own
