Ashley Benson Research Paper

Ashley Benson is a 26 years old American model, actress and dancer. Ashley was born 18 December 1989 in Anaheim Hills, a city in the Orange County, at the southwest area of California, United States. She is proud of having multiethnic ancestors, considering her mother, Shannon (although people call her Harte) has Irish ancestry, while her father, Jeff Benson has German and English ancestry. Furthermore, Ashley has an older sister, Shaylene Benson, who also is an actress (Dance Revolution, 2006; Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, 2009; The Nightlife, 2010).

As reported by several sources, Ashley was a premature child. When her mother gave birth to her, she weighed less than three pounds and doctors detected some heart problems that, probaly, would need a surgery. It was necessary to keep her in an Intensive Care Unit for two months under specialists’ close monitoring, before doctors found out that Ashley’s heart problems had dissapeared and her parents could finally take her home.

Actually, she liked to dance practically any rhythm, thus, she used to do it with such different musical and artistic genres like hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, tap or ballet. This way, Ashley loved to participate in any cultural event or presentation that took place in her hometown. Moreover, she began singing when she was four years old, by participating in church choirs; sometimes she even sing solo for about 2,500 people during Christmas celebrations. Additionally, when she was five years old began modeling for some dance catalogs, and when Ashley was eight years old she officially signed with Ford Models, in what may be considered as her profissional debut in the modeling world.
