One day, Bata returns to the Anubis’ house to get some more seed and Anubis’ wife is there trying to seduce him. Bata refuses her temptation and she gets angry and makes herself look like she had been beaten. When Anubis get homes later on that evening, he sees that his wife has been beaten up and she told him that his brother beat her up. Anubis believes her and goes after Bata to kill him. Bata prays to Pre-Harakhti for help and Pre-Harakhti creates a lake filled with crocodiles between the two brothers. Anubis believes Bata that he did not beat his wife up and tells Anubis that he is going to the Valley of Pine. Bata was all by himself in the Valley of Pine, until the Ennead made a wife for Bata. Bata’s wife tells the Pharaoh how to kill Bata. Once Bata is dead he comes back to life as a bull and Persea trees to gets revenge on his wife. When the Persea trees are cut down, Bata’s wife swallowed a splinter from the tree and became pregnant with Bata’s child.
