Learning the muscles of the body is a daunting challenge because there are roughly 700 individual muscles that comprise the muscular system. For the purposes of this course we will focus on the muscles from essentially 3 major body regions; muscles of the trunk, muscles of the upper limb and muscles of the lower limb. Similar to the skeletal system we are not too concerned with many of the small muscles associated with the skull, fingers and foot.
