Isolationism
Isolationism is a belief or policy that countries should not be involved with each other by not working or making agreements with each other. An example of Isolationism is when the U.S decided to give aid to the Hungarian Patriots in 1849. The U.S wanted to use an Isolationism plan because they wanted to stop working with other countries. When the Hungarians were fighting for their Independence the U.S did not follow the Isolationism plan when the U.S helped leaders of Hungary free from prison.
The United States wanted to focus on expanding their country in the west and wanted to focus on the Manifest Destiny. This is when they followed the Isolationism plan to help other countries.
