For this assignment, you will look at the different working relationships in adult social care, and how these differ from personal relationships. You will look at the purpose and importance of agreed ways of working. You will explore the importance of partnership working and how this is achieved in adult social care.

Task B Handout
Produce a handout to be used during a staff induction for an adult social care service of your choosing. The handout must include:
Bi An outline of what is meant by ‘agreed ways of working’.
An agreed way of working is a policy or procedure in your organisation which you need to abide by, it’s also the contract you sign when you start working.
Bii An explanation of the importance of having full and up-to-date details of the agreed ways of working.
It is a legal requirement, and you need to be aware if the details every change sou you’d be working by the latest rules. It also keeps you and the individuals you care for safe, and helps to prevent any possible mistakes from happening.
Biii A description of why it is important that social care workers follow guidance about the limits of their job role.
It is important to follow guidance in order not to cause anyone harm and if such a thing happens an employee might lose their job or be prosecuted.

Work relationship is more professional, has more boundaries, you don’t share personal information in a working relationship, you are not allowed to argue or treat people indifferently.
