Security is very important in any situation when it comes to dealing with information, and a company should gain its customers trust by keeping this information clear from hackers and, thieves. In the Bible it talks about how Christians should love our neighbors as ourselves. In other words if an employee creates something like a database they should make sure it’s secure like how they would want our information to be secure. If Christians should do things it should always pleasing to the Lord and that should be enough motivation that would help employees protect such information like, the Lord protects his children. In Hebrews 13:16 “But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” (KJV) God wants us to use our gifts to show excellences. …show more content…
It is in the Ten Commandments that we should not steal from our neighbors. God does not approve that we would take from our brothers or sisters and he talks about in the book of Exodus 22:7 “If anyone gives a neighbor silver or goods for safekeeping and they are stolen from the neighbor’s house the thief, if caught, must pay back double.” (NIV) (Bertrand, 2014) This scripture shows that as Christians Database security should be very important when holding something of a neighbor such the information given. Another reason Security is important is due to all the hackers in the world. Most hackers would like to say they would do things for gain that they enjoy hacking into other systems. Hackers can gain from information like that whether they use it to copy someone’s Identification, social security or credit card number. People are becoming more cautious because of things like this. The worst part about when someone takes your information is that they can sell it to companies without permission.
