The Greek Culture was diverse with theater and elaborate sculptures. Theater depicted individuals attempting to cope with life on a personal level (Nagle, 2010). The elaborate sculptures are detailed and realistic. Mosaics became commonplace as well creating an artistic medium for people of all stature. This drive for artistic freedom created an amateur market for collections. The architecture of a city was so important to a monarch that an architect would be the first called in to plan the new city while addressing administrative, cultural, and military needs (Nagle, 2010). The cities were so intricately designed that many aspects of them are still found in places like Pakistan. The next big thing to hit Greek culture was the discovery of anatomical sciences of the human body, and the pseudo-science of astrology. It was during this time that Mercury and Venus were identified as orbiting the sun (Nagle, 2010). This information exploded into the cataloguing of constellations and the creation of connections between human behavior and the cosmos. Religion is another important factor. Greek gods were bound to their particular cities, and it was difficult for the Greeks to continue worshipping their Gods with the influence of foreign deities.
