In the year 2024, I thought I would be seeing flying cars, instead, I see women being undermined compared to men. A brand new chapter is what Australia needs to enter, but instead of transcending on a path to embrace a bright future, humanity turns a blind eye.

It’s been going on since the 1860’s and it continues now. Misogyny, a deeply rooted hatred and prejudice against the female gender which, when expressed through actions, is tolerated in today’s Australian society. If there’s a glass barrier separating us, does it justify our perceived differences? Through the lens of society, us women should be “docile” and “submitting”, but if we contradict, we are the burdens of the female gender. It’s a man’s world that us women live in.
