In the controversial discussion of whether or not guns should be banned, some

anti gun-control activists would say that guns are necessary to protect him/herself, others would say that guns play a vital role in violent crimes and that they should be banned. I, however, shall argue that guns can be a dangerous part of a society and that it is the root cause for many crimes which are motivated by violence."
Irrational actions leading to death can be avoided. Many people do a lot of irrational things on a daily basis, its human nature. One of the biggest consequences of someones irrational actions is that someone else's life might be at stake. Not having gun control could lead to a lot of people doing things they wouldn’t be equipped to do if they didn't have a gun. Having a gun provides people with the opportunity to do violent things. after said viewer refused to stop texting. This kind of illogical actions can be avoided.
Another example is the Columbine High School shooting, which could have been avoided if guns were banned."

Another important aspect of gun control is that massacres can be avoided. There are not too many restrictions on gun laws. People are allowed to carry most different types of guns, which includes automatic weapons. For example, most massacres utilise automatic weapons. Between 1982 and 2012, the US had roughly sixty-two mass shootings, out of which forty-nine were perpetuated using legal weapons."
More guns equal more suicides. Contrary to the preconception that people have, suicides are actually a spur of the moment thing than a planned event like people normally imagine. Having a gun gives you access to do something irrational. It might sound unlikely, but here is the evidence: according to a report in the Boston Globe, States with high levels of gun ownership have a suicide rate almost twice as high as those with low ownership levels. Also, people who committed suicide were found to be seventeen times more likely to live with guns at home than not. "
Many people however, argue against gun control. They feel that a law-abiding citizen should be able to protect himself from a criminal. Their argument is that taking
