Somewhere in the vast Russia lived an elderly woman, but this was no ordinary women she was a witch, named Baba Yaga. Baba Yaga had a long nose that some say when she slept the nose rattles against the ceiling. She wasn’t attractive, but the exact opposite. She had warts and no matter how much she has eaten she was as thin as a skeleton. Baba Yaga is an Old Russian myth which is how it relates to my ethnicity. My mother used to tell me stories about Baba, about how she could be generous at times, but also cruel and if I ever got out of bed at night than she would come and take me away. My dad told me that when he was about five his parents also told him about Baba Yaga and used her to their advantage, for instance, when he and his siblings were making a mess in the bath and were taking a long time in the bath they told them to hurry up or Baba Yaga would fly through the …show more content…
