“Rather than subsidizing the production of unhealthy foods , we should turn the tables,and tax things like sodas, french fries,doughnuts and hyperprocessed snacks” states Bittman in his article “Bad Food?” paragraph 5 . This statement meaning we should try to get people to change their eating habits by taxing them for what they want to eat therefore making them want to buy healthy foods at a cheaper price. “Taxes would reduce consumption of unhealthy foods and generate billions of dollars annually” explains Bittman in his New York Times article “Bad Foods?”. Brody's New York Times article “Attacking The Obesity Epidemic” paragraph 1. This is a very strong message because most of the foods in america are junk foods and the foods that aren't can be a bit more pricy so many choose to go with the unhealthy choices. Many homes in America don't have home cooked meals so they spend their time eating out . “As more women entered the workforce ,the food industry figured out ways to make food more readily available for everyone” states a sociologist at Harvard School of public health in his interview with Brody. My response to this is i agree with what he states because many people depend on the women to cook and if shes not come who is cooking for all these kids and if their is no cooking what are they eating. This is also one of the main reasons why obesity is so high in America because many homes don't have a cook so they are forced to eat out . Ever wonder why teachers and staff are always encouraging you to eat school foods or why it's important to come to school, well this is why because they want you to get lunch .“Under the program ,the united states department of Agriculture gives public schools cash for every meal they serve -$2.57 for a free lunch ,$2.17 for a reduced-price lunch and 24 cents for a paid
