Ron Rosenbaum, in “Speaking Truth to Power”, defines who Barbara Kruger is as an artist in American political culture. He talks about mainly about her installation at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C, August of 2012. Her work at that museum, as Rosenbaum says, is “powerful [and] power-zapping”. Kruger’s installation covered all the floors, walls, escalators, and would be visible from two floors up. The installation was named BELIEF+DOUBT, but the center piece was called “WHOSE VALUES?” and it raised questions in the eyes of politics in Washington.
