In a study, it showed that “69 percent of girls reported that magazine pictures influenced their idea of the perfect body shape and 47 percent reported wanting to lose weight because of magazine pictures. “(Anderson, 66). In fact, media has taken advantage of the new ways technology can reach people. They are changing people’s positive view of their own body into negative comments about how they hate certain features. Even though the media understands this concept they are still using it because they know that individuals will still read to keep up with what society wants. All in all, people need to please themselves instead of pleasing society
