The Barrie Public library is a public library found in the city of Barrie Ontario. This particular library has two branches which are located in the Downtown area of Barrie as well as the
Painswick branch. Together these two branches serve about 140,000 people from the Barrie area.
For many years this library system has worked hard to enrich the economic, social, and cultural vitality of the community by promoting lifelong learning, literacy and by providing knowledge, information, and resources to the citizens of Barrie. Overall though, I think the Drop- in story time program was very successful and the evaluating this program was very easy due to the check list I had created ahead of time. I found the check list I head created to be a very useful evaluation since I tried to list all of elements and practices that a good story time program should include as well as how the audience should be reacting to a successful story time program.
Having this information listed on my check list helped me to remember and look for these positive elements and practices as the program was going on. Having the checklist also allowed me to write notes about the program that I could look at and consider later when completing my evaluation of the story time program.

Completing this project has taught me quite a bit about children’s programs and services offered through library’s and what kind of elements are needed in order to make them success.
After speaking with presenter of this Drop-in story time program I learned that one of the
