At the age of eight, his journey to become Batman began with the murder of his parents. After witnessing that, he searched for his parents’ murderer and got the idea to become the Dark Knight. Along the years he took in Dick Greyson, a boy who watched his parents fall to their deaths, after Tony Zucco sabotaged their trapeze wire. Dick soon became the first Robin, Batman’s side kick, but it didn’t stop there. After Dick Greyson left Gotham, Batman adopted another boy. In the end he adopted three boys, Dick Greyson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake, who were all Robin. No one comes into the Wayne family without a dark past. Jason Todd, for example, was a street rat. He grew up stealing and only met Batman because he stole the tires off the Batmobile. He was later murdered by the Joker, after being beating with a crowbar and blown up by a bomb.
