What was the misunderstanding that occurred?
From the managers email I thought I was supposed to compile a list of inventory that was we were in possession of to eliminate the equipment that would not be needed for inventory.
How could the misunderstanding have been avoided?
Verbal communication of expectations along with detail within the email of what the manager actually needed.
From the communication in the chart above I gained a clear understanding of completing a thought and clearly identifying what I need when directing others. I also learned to double check verbally with the manager to clarify the expectations on what she was requesting me to do. In the situation that I experienced with my manager it was the miscommunication of the managers thought processes and the unclear delivery of what she needed me to do. She was not direct in what she was asking for, which led to a waste of time and a lot of frustration on both of our parts.

If my supervisor had contacted her instead of having me to call her with the information.
