During my childhood, I spent many days in my grandfather’s dental office. Some of my favorite memories include the days he would show me dental x-rays or let me watch him construct a set of dentures. I even had him pull out my first loose baby tooth when I was five years old because I wanted to lose it “the right way”. Over the years as I have contemplated my future, I find myself constantly reflecting upon these early memories of my Grandfather and the time I spent with him in his dental office. Therefore, becoming a Dental Hygienist is not simply about choosing a good career with a good salary, it is about living out the lessons of service I learned from watching my grandfather in his career
