The probation officers must have training in juvenile law, counseling, suicide prevention and many more in order to help juveniles. There is specific training to help officers understand the development of juvenile’s brain and understand their backgrounds. All the training that is required to become a probation officer is to help create family interactions with the juveniles and successfully understand and help the juvenile. I want to obtain my masters in social worker, but after researching the Juvenile Probation Officer career in detail, I want to pursue this career.
