I had to go through a lot of steps but there are five major steps in the education requirements that you have to go through in order to become a physical therapist. The first step you have to complete is an undergraduate program. Which helps you prepare for admission into a graduate degree program, upcoming physical therapists must complete a bachelor's degree program. The second step you have to earn is a graduate degree. All therapists are required to complete professional physical therapy degree programs which are by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. The third step you have to obtain is a licensure. All physical therapists must be licensed by the states in which they practice. The four step you have to attend a residency program. Following graduate school, some physical therapists prepare for the profession by completing residencies. The last step is considering becoming a specialist. A physical therapist can choose to become a specialist in a field of physical therapy by obtaining certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, which offers eight different classifications.
