I have had initially the same goal since I was about four years old. As I have grown I have found that that goal has not changed just grown along with me. When I was four it was simply, “When I grow up I want to become an animal doctor” because I couldn't quite pronounce veterinarian. When I was about eight it became make good grades become a veterinarian. As I grew things were tagged onto the end like , “ maintain all A’s, go to a great institute, get my degree, become a veterinarian” and somewhere in there was definitely become valedictorian. Growing up I saw plenty of strangers out on the streets just about every day. When I asked my mom why they were there she would tell me “Because the made bad decisions in life” and I would ask why and she would tell me “ Because they weren’t taught how to make the correct ones.” The people of this world have served as a great reminder of the way we would end up if we were not properly educated. Seeing those types of people every day motivated me to take advantage of every opportunity they hadn’t.

We are graduating, this is graduation, now isn’t that just unbelievable? We will all be going our separate ways now but that does not have to mean goodbye unless we want it to. And I want to say thank you for going through life with me, thank you for being there, thank you for joining me on this journey, thank you. Now I will leave you with this our sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln, once said “The best way to predict your future is to create it.” I want everyone to go out there and make yourself the brightest future you could possibly imagine.
