Historically, nature has been unilaterally and without consent, subject to the power of man. The justification for such dominant and oppressive relations is rooted in patriarchal notions of nature and culture as fundamentally separate. I seek to challenge this dualism by advancing an ideal of a naturalcultural-scape within which human and more-than-human worlds are profoundly interwoven. I conceptualize this complex interplay with reference to Donna Harraway’s notions of “becoming with;” which I understand as a reintegration of nature and culture--human and more-than-human beings. In this paper consider the interactions between the characters and their more-than-human counterparts as well as the interdependencies that underlie these relationships
