Bella Larson’s “Passing” is greatly known for representing the famous movement of the Harlem Renaissance. She sheds a bright light on the subject matters on black women that posses the qualities to pass as white women during this time period. The “concept” of passing enables a person to adopt certain roles or identities from which that person is barred by prevailing social standards in the absence of the misleading conduct. At times, this concept can become very problematic and yet risky.
