Adversity is a powerful obstacle that challenges people on their way to happiness. Behind the troubles lies the success that separates those who push through the limits, and those who quit. Recently the study was done by William Arthur Ward showing that people are in position to decide which type of person they want to be. The study revealed that humans have no such trait determining their potential to overcome obstacles, and have freedom over their choices. At the beginning of the article William said, “Adversity causes some man to break and others to break records.” This quote suggests that power and success lies within each person, and could be accomplished despite the personality. His family had enough money to teach him in school for only two years, and then Benjamin had to end the studying on early stages before the graduation. When he was ten, his brother taught him the printing press mechanism; and after three years they founded the first independent newspaper in colonies. The adversity followed him, and the product was not accepted for wide printing which ruined the work of the young writer. Benjamin moved to Philadelphia and started his road to success with scratch. After years of working in printing agency he established his own group named Junto. The publishing prospered quickly and soon Benjamin was able to fulfil the newspaper with reliable and radically true information for that time. This practice became astonishing and later Benjamin Franklin came to be the member of the congress that illustrates the great progress done by kid from poor family.
