Dr. Benjamin Carson has said, “Success is determined not by whether or not you face obstacles, but by your reaction to them.” Benjamin Carson M.D. is one of the most renowned doctor every to come within the medical field. Carson was an inner city youngster from Detroit who rose under circumstances to become the director of neurosurgery at John Hopkins University Hospital(Rainey). He is a pioneer of medicine because he has performed countless surgeries to help the lives of young people. He is known for his famous surgery of the Siamese twins (Rainey). He is the first doctor to successfully separate two conjoined twins, that were connected from the head (Rainey). Benjamin Carson was able to become successful by gaining knowledge through his experiences. He is an individual that exemplifies the concept of sensing because he lets experience do the talking. One common example to help support my claim is that, when he was a young boy his mother would always tell him, “You got all the world in you.” She explained that his brain is infinite hard drive and anything could be done. Carson, whenever he felt down, or helpless, he would always refer back to this quote (Carson). From his experience as a child, he was able to motivate himself to continue forward. Dr. Carson performed many surgeries to conjoined twins. He was unsuccessful in some, and successful in others, but he was the only doctor who had the experience, and tremendous success rate (Rainey). Another prime example that makes him a sensing individual is because he enjoyed reading. He made reading his forefront in his studies. Understanding the details of each and every book gave him the knowledge he needed to perform any task he wanted. As a republican front runner in the presidential candidacy, Dr. Carson has to be a details oriented person. He also has to act according to the experience he has dealt with, in order to help America in the
