In the book Hamlet there are many different themes to choose from, but the most noticeable and shocking one just so happened to be betrayal. The old king of Denmark was assassinated by his very own brother to claim the throne and marry the queen Gertrude, much like the betrayal from Judas Iscariot in the “New Testament”. Judas was one of the twelve disciples to Jesus Christ, and later sold out the son of god for 30 silver coins. He was seen giving Jesus a kiss, known today as the “kiss of betrayal”.
