Several people interpret the word “heroes” as super heroic figures with extraordinary powers such as Batman and Superman because they illustrate the hero’s “monomyth” (Hamby 1). However, there are people in real life that that do not have unordinary powers and considered as heroes because of their ethical actions. In the past years there was no Steve Jobs nor Mark Zuckerberg. There was only one real tech idol everyone knew – Bill Gates. He is undoubtedly one of the remarkable and influential people nowadays. Why is he a real hero? A true hero is who believes in himself and his dream. Bill Gates fought for his dream to come true and never surrendered to the external pressures. Bill Gates attended a public school before he transferred to a private school named Lakeside when he was 12 years old. He always excused from Math classes to invest this time in creating computer programs. After only one year of this transfer, he created his first computer program which was a program that scheduled the places and times of each class. Accompanied by Paul Allen, his best friend, they started up a company called Traf-O-Data that tracked the traffic movement, while they were still in high school. His father pushed him to attend law school in Harvard University, which he left in his junior year to devote all of his time and energy to his successful “Microsoft” software business.
