Billy Graham was an evangelist preacher that would travel all over the world to preach to people so everyone got a new beginning, a new start to life so they can share it with God. Where Billy came from, I’m sure that you wouldn’t expect him to become a world renowned evangelist, or preacher.

Billy’s family grew up on their dairy farm in a colonial-style house that had even indoor plumbing (at the time, indoor plumbing was rare). Billy was the oldest of the four children in the Graham household. Jean, Melvin, and Katherine were his younger siblings. Billy had a close relationship with his younger sister Jean, even though she was 14 years younger than he was. Before Billy gave his life to God, he was like any other sibling, they all fought and shouted, they had their good time and their bad, but when Billy did give his life to God, he stopped fighting, and he was nicer to them. On August 13, 1943, Billy Graham married the love of his life, Ruth Bell. The two were happily wedded and later had five children. Time passed, Ruth realized that Evangelism and Christ came before anything else in Billy’s life. Sometimes it would be six months before Ruth saw Billy after a crusade. Ruth and Billy raised their children well, although sometimes Ruth had to be both the mother and the father, she used good discipline. Because Billy had been gone for some time, his youngest son Franklin, had no idea who he was. So when Billy came home one day, Franklin asked his mother, “Who is that?” Billy, having no idea his own son didn’t know who he was, was stunned.
