Bingo Book Night Bingo book night will not only encourage families to precipitate in a fun family event together at school, but also reinforce of student literacy. This event will take a few months after a new school year has started. The event will allow me, the teacher, to offer parents new ways which they can be involved in their child’s education. Furthermore, the event would reinforce good literacy habit, reading, by suppling students with books to read. The bingo template cards will vary based on the class dynamics and grade level. Bingo book night will be a fun and relaxing evening in which families can participate in. Although I would oversee the night, I will communicate with the parents that the evening is a collective effort. I will have a signup sheet for all possibilities to volunteer for the event. To ensure that student’s confidentiality is not compromised on bingo book night, I will have all documents filed away in a safe place. The computer will be turned off and I will not engage in any conversation about student except with their own parent. Furthermore, conversations with parents regarding their child will be limited. I will express with the parents the need to maintain confidentiality and my desire to schedule a time in which we can discuss their concerns further. Finally, items displaying a child’s name will be covered up. All graded assignments on display will be removed from the wall. If there is a family wall or a bulletin board for super star students, I will seek school rule regarding if the bulletin board can remain as it is for the event. Finally, I will have a Teacher box designed for my access only. The teacher box will have a whole at the top; which will allow parents to drop off any important information that might be considered
