The memoir is more personal and it is a primary source whereas the biography is research-based, it is a secondary source of one's life. On the CODE, we had to compare and contrast the two stories. The memoir was easier to relate since some parts were when he worked hard and he succeeded. This just like school, you have to work hard if you want to succeed in your classes. This is challenging to most people so students MUST work hard or they fail. Other part that is relatable is when you work with mixed ethics. This is very relatable since we are in Korea while we are on a United States' base, there are mixed ethic classes and schools. This is relatable in other schools as well, even in the United States of America. Another way is that these may be something you experienced as well which is easier to understand to compare and contrast it to a biography. Both the memoir and the biography are about a person or subject’s life. They also talk about important events that are important to the author. These are important since this is basically why the authors writes a memoir or a biography. A memoir and a biography have many differences and the similarities number is very little so the compare column is very small, but the story plot behind these two stories are very similar.
