Alcoholism/addiction is a complicated illness with numerous contributing factors on the biological, psychological, and social realms. The first thing addiction is caused by is the natural aspect and genetic predisposition, meaning that if your family from the past has trouble when it comes to association with alcohol, then the individual most likely will.
