The Bison Licking Insect Bite is a reindeer antler or bone carving created around 20,000- 12,000 BP. The unknown artist used flint to carve the shape of the figure. The scene of the sculpture shows a now-extinct ice age bison with his head turn, and licking and insect bite on its body.

The Volcano-Çatal höyük is a wall painting found at an early settlement site in Turkey dates around 6200 BCE. This looks like a spiritual painting of what might be the oldest landscape painting discovered. This wall painting is painted with rectangular buildings of different sizes. This Egyptian art has Osiris, god of the dead and king of the Underworld. The Last judgment of Hunefer is a painted papyrus scroll from Egyptians book of the dead, measuring 1’ 6” high. This dates back around 1300-1290 BCE. Top left is Hunefer crouched, speaking to other crouched people. These crouched people are gods. Then we see Hunefer at the bottom left being lead to a judgment scale. This scale balances a heart to a feather, and the outcome determines if Hunefer has a successful afterlife. Passing the scale, Hunefer is the taken to Osiris for eternal life. This art utilizes Egyptians grid system to create the people shown on the scribe. Gods are shown with mask or hats. The Sphinx dates back to 2520- 2494 BCE, and measures 65’ high 240’ long. Being a sphinx, this big sculpture takes the form of a lion with the head of a man. It is said that this could possibly be the most famous limestone sculpture in the world. There has been some erosion to the structure over the years. Big structures tend to lose detail from weathering. You can see the face and body dulled out. The piece is missing a nose, and beard.
