There are a variety of different kinds of plants in Illinois. One of the many plants is a black-eyed Susan, they are very pretty, and interesting. Black-eyed Susans can grow to be 30 inches (76.2 cm) long. Black-eyed Susans are yellowish orange and in the middle of the flower it has brown seeds that are tapered. The pedals on the flower are flattened and the top of the pedals are narrow; the stems on the flower can be rough and are hairy with big leaves.
