The National Household Survey on Drug Abuse states that 9.9 million whites versus 2.0 million blacks were drug users. Block and Obioha contradicted themselves which made the statistic they provided difficult to understand and difficult to agree or disagree. The legalization of drugs will not only affect black men but other races as well. Whether the outcome is good or bad. Block and Obioha also states that many lives have been negatively impacted by the use of alcohol, cigarettes, prostitution, and pornography. Drugs is drugs, no matter the race, sex, age, etc. drugs is a non-stop recurring problem across the world. Legalizing drugs will not solve any problems because if drugs are illegal now and people are still getting these substances, what is the point of legalizing them now? Our problems today will still be here whether or not drugs are legalized. Providing the substances and tools to drug users could also put other non-drug users at risk like children. The easier the needle is to get ahold of, the more common we’ll see it out in public and that could still put other people at risk for accidental exposure to a needle and then ending up with HIV, AIDS or some other type of disease a person wouldn’t want. When it comes down to it whether drugs are legalized or not, a drug user will get their drug whether it is legal or
