In the short story, written by Ron Rash, “Blackberries in June,” the main characters are faced with hardships that inevitably put them odds with each other and their loved ones. The main couple, Jamie and Matt, as well as the remaining characters of the story, live in a small poverty stricken town of the Appalachian where hardships are as ordinary as [insert comparison].
