Blanket Activity Reflection During this activity, which was shared by Viola and Elder Caroline, I got a chance to gain a new perspective of the past. The way it is demonstrated is like other things which happened in the past, for example, to represent the Palestine/Israel war, or the Ukraine/Russia war. I’m not saying there is one side which is bad and another which is good, but what I am saying is that this activity could be used for both sides of those topics. This activity brought us through a timeline of events which happened in Canadian history, starting with the first time the Europeans settled all the way to the end. I can proudly say I learned a bunch during this event, and I got provided a bunch of new ways in viewing the brutal history of Canadian lands. What I believe would likely improve reconciliation, is to keep running this exercise and maybe other ones too like its kind. From my experience, I learnt and retained a bunch of information from the activity, making it far better than other learning sources. The activity in my opinion could also greatly help people with learning disabilities, as this activity was engaging, packed with information, interactive, and in general, fun.
