TITLE

Immigrant that become part of the United States have formed the cultural and identification of what the American people and individuals perceive him/herself to be. These features vary from the way an individual identifies herself/himself as regarding to their race and the way they communicate and interact with their community.

The Immigrants that have become part of the American people as they intertwine with the American inhabitants has not only formed the identification of themselves but the way they are seen in the eyes of others regarding the race category they are placing themselves to be regardless of the options the american people have given them to choose from. In the essay “Blaxicans” by Richard Rodriguez the author states, “... race has always been a black and white conversation… I was supposed to attach myself to one side or the other” (lines 30-30). As stated in the essay “ Mother Tongue” by Amy Tan the author states, “ … they say they understand none of … but to me… that was the language that helped me shape the way I saw things, expressed things, made sense of things “ (lines 54-60). The author expresses that the language that is spoken by her mother and that many people do not understand has essentially influenced how she ( an American ) communicates with others and they way she perceives the world. Amy Tan’s mother being an immigrant has created and enforced the way an american communicates. Although this action was unintentionally the influence of an immigrant to an american person deferinciates from person to person because it reflects on the amount of education an individual received that limits their communication
