The second chapter in Blown to Bits talks about internet privacy. It talks about how with the digital age, our society has given up a lot of our privacies. The book starts off by referencing the book 1984 by George Orwell. It is a book about a dystopian society in which things like the television are used to look into the lives of every person. The author of Blown to Bits compares this society to today’s London. An example is brought up in the 2005 subway bombing and how cameras caught the bombers and their trip before the bombs were detonated. The cameras relate to the televisions watching everyone in 1984.
