Air Force to Artisan In a world, where peace is not easily achieved, where the need to find a way to relieve tensions of everyday life through the love of hobbies, such as knitting, crocheting and even painting. Bob Ross is a famous painter due to the comforting and encouraging way he believed in others to be able to achieve the same goal as him. Bob Ross changed the world by giving an outlet to those who did not have a supporting role model to believe that they could achieve anything starting with painting, through his paintings, TV shows, and his calm natured demeanor. “Bob Ross would be on her television painting at breakneck speed some glob of trees or swoosh of sunset.” a man wrote about the inspiration Bob Ross placed in his grandmother when he was a young boy (Nelson 1). He first handly saw the inspiration Bob placed in people, later depicting that his grandmother attended painting classes and when she inevitably passed she left behind her paintings she painted with TV bob Ross. One of his most notable sayings is, “We don't make mistakes, we just have happy accidents.” Through this quote he normalized mistakes (Bob Ross). He unintentionally gave a generation of children the ability to believe in themselves that many perhaps did not receive from parents or any sort of support system around. The quote was an embodiment of the love that he had for his painting and was not directly towards his painting but was a love for teaching that he did through his television show.
