For my book report I chose to do it on Blind Date by Melody Carlson. The book I read is part of they series Dating Games. Melody is an author that has written many more books who is really talented.

There’s a masquerade dance coming up and Abby, Emma, Bryn, Devon, and Cassidy decide to set each other up with blind dates. Abby is a fun and athletic girl that plays basketball and loves helping out others. Emma is a shy and quiet person that doesn’t talk very much. Bryn and Devon both love fashion and care deeply how they look. Lastly, Cassidy is the “head” of the club and always helps her friends out. These girls go to Northwood Academy which is a private school together and are really good friends even though they are from really different backgrounds.

They learn that there is a masquerade dance coming up and decide it would be fun to attend. Bryn comes up with the idea of setting another person up with another person as a date and go to the dance together. Cassidy comes up with the idea to draw names so they have no idea who they might get. Everyone feels the pressure of setting up one of their friends with the perfect date. As the weeks before the dance countdown they are coming closer and closer to setting up their friend with a date but some of them regret getting the person they did.

Emma realizes that her grandma could help her and she was feeling a little jealous of Bryn’s grandma, so she spends the rest of the day at her grandma’s house, working with her on her costume. Before the dance they agree to meet at Bryn’s grandma’s house and split up around the house. They would meet their date and meet back up together to go to the dance. The day of the dance comes and they meet at Bryn’s grandma's house, nervous, and excited to meet their
