What I would have liked to see is some
coverage of some of the tricks of the trade that help commander balance
these pressures. Some of us might say that this is just a National
Guardsman's perspective, given our significant time and resource
limitations, but everything what we have have read, heard and
experienced with the Active component tells us these problems certainly
exist there as well.
10. At the end of all a reasonably good book. It gives a good review of what
command is all about and would be especially useful for the typical lieutenant
who doesn't understand the myriad of Army systems and processes that must be
mastered by a successful company commander.
QUALITY OF PRESENTATION
1. The book is neatly designed in 5” x 7.5” format ,and is divided in ten parts ,
the aspects of which are covered in paragraphs contained in point form in that
part.
2. This book is written in plain English and filled with Tips, War Stories and Quotes all designed to make company command a great experience for you and your soldiers. The presentation is impressive and the author is well versed with the language.
