The attack on the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013 to me was very unexpected. To me it’s the last place to expect a bombing. Coming from a runner I know that the marathon is a very challenging run for anyone. It tests your physicality and your mental strength. In running everyone gets along even if people are from a different race, religion, or country. Runners understand all the hard work it takes to train and manage to do such a demanding race. When the attacks occurred I was shocked because I couldn’t believe someone could do that to these hardworking people who challenge themselves everyday to get prepared for the great feat. When the attacked happen many government and police agencies reacted and came together to aid the wounded people, and apprehend the suspects responsible for the attacks. According to the after action report at 2:49 p.m. the first bomb detonates in front of 671 Boylston Street near the finish line. Then 13 seconds later in front of 755 Boylston Street the second bomb detonates. Police, Fire fighters, and medical personnel immediately start treating the injured civilians that were affected by the bombings. They reacted as fast as possible and that’s why many people survived the horrible incident. They also cooperated with many government agencies and together they took down the two suspects responsible for the bombings. I also believe that all of our officers are well trained and ready for any attack that might happen on the U.S. For me the Boston Bombings hit me hard because I am I runner and I know the pain that those people feel trying to run those long 26.2 miles. It takes a lot of sweet, tears, and hard work to accomplish that goal. I know that today every officer in the U.S. is ready to fight against anyone who tries to hurt us and will protect us no matter
