The Boston Tea Party was something that led to the American revolution. The tea party happen on December 16, 1773. American colonist protest aginist British on tea tax. The Boston Tea Party happened a couple years after the Boston massacre. People in that day drank about 2 to 3 cups of tea a day everyday. It was around 2 million pounds of tea throught out 3 million people. About 90% of the tea the colonist drank was smuggled in. The tax paid was lower than what they where actually paying. Three ships got raided on that night in the tea party the three ships where the Dartmouth, Eleanor, and the Beaver. The Dartmouth had about 114 thigs of tea on it. There where around 240 chest of black tea, some superior tea, and near 60 barrels
